Every restaurant is unique but they all operate on the same premise, customers walk in and are sitted, their waiter hands them the menu and then leaves them to make their choices. The waiter then returns to take their orders. It has been done this way for the longest time and not much has changed in the modern digital age. This process is highly inefficient for a number of reasons. For one, the waiter does not know when to return to take the customer order. If customers are made to wait too long, they can start to feel frustrated and under served. However, if they are not given enough time to go over the menu and make their decision, they can feel pressured and annoyed. So why not give the ordering power to the customer?
